SADAQAH JARIYAH

The Generosity of our Prophet ﷺ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The Prophet (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to become more generous in Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night during Ramadan to revise the Qur’an with him. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) then used to be more generous than the fast wind.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3554

With Allāh’s aid and Permission and then your assistance, we aim to feed poor Muslims who are fasting during the month of Ramadān. The countries that we intend to facilitate are Bangladesh, Gambia, Indonesia, Senegal, Somaliland, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

We pray that providing food at the time of Iftar, will encourage those less fortunate than ourselves, to observe the prescribed legislation of fasting the month of Ramadān Inshā’Allāh.

Verily, the pious who fear Allāh and avoid evil, shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur.

A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allāh will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. They (are those who) fulfill (their) vows and they fear a Day whose evil will be wide-spreading.

And they give food, in spite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive,

(Saying): “We feed you seeking Allāh’s Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you. Verily, We fear from our Lord a Day, hard and distressful, that will make the faces look horrible (from extreme dislikeness to it).”
